Chelsea Ranger, PA, MHS

STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT FOR NORDIC LIFE SCIENCES

Chelsea Ranger is a strategist, advisor, and board member with a deep commitment to advancing Nordic and Norwegian health and life sciences. Originally trained as a US Physician Assistant with a focus on hepatology and gastroenterology, she has transitioned her clinical expertise into a 15-year business strategy and innovation-focused career. Valued for her creative nature, strong core values, and well-maintained global network across seniorities, therapy areas, industries, and financial sectors, Chelsea is driven by a mission to make a meaningful relationships and impactful change.

Based in Oslo, Norway since 2009, her career has included influential roles such as General Manager of Norway and SVP Commercial & Market Strategy for AMRA Medical, where she led external innovation and global partnerships for the metabolic and liver business units. As Program Director of the Nordic Life Science Days conference, she was instrumental in founding NLSInvest to attract global investment funds to the Nordic region. In Norway, she is a Project Coordinator for the University of Oslo's SPARK Norway program, guiding the commercial development of novel scientific discoveries. And, for several years, she led Investor Relations and Business Development for The Life Science Cluster in Norway, providing direct training and support to 40+ early stage companies, expanding the cluster's global networks, supporting US market entry for startups, and leading international investor engagement for the Norwegian ecosystem through a joint-cluster initiative.

In 2024, Chelsea was invited to be a Mentor with the Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME), a Novo Nordisk Foundation initiative supporting high-growth life science startups and aiming to elevate the Nordic region as a leading hub for innovation.​ She also founded Women in Life Science Norway (WiLD Norway), a dynamic network dedicated to empowering women across the health and life sciences sectors. As Chairwoman, she leads initiatives in mentorship, board training, and professional development, aiming to enhance female representation and leadership in these industries.

On a personal note

Originally from coastal Alabama, I grew up with a deep love for nature and a vision of making a meaningful impact—whether it be saving the planet, curing disease, or advancing global health. Today, I remain a dedicated advocate for positive change, committed to advancing healthcare and environmental sustainability while challenging conventional thinking.

I actively contribute to several initiatives that support women, future leaders, and marginalized communities, including:

  • Women in Global Health (WGH) Norway: Advocating for gender equality in global health across academia, the public sector, and private industry.

  • WGH Norway COVID 50/50 Task Force: Leading national efforts to address COVID-19 and promote gender equity.

  • Mentor for Professional Women in Norway: Guiding and supporting professional women in their careers.

  • Expert Mentor for Digitalwell Ventures: Providing strategic mentorship to high-growth startups.

  • Founder of Kampen Pride: Advocating for and supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community.
